The Process
A 34-step process is used for failure analysis and best solution determination. It begins with creation of a database to track and document your equipment throughout the process, track performance over time, and provide data for trend analysis.
Each integral part of the spindle or motor will be meticulously cleaned and analyzed for any deviation from optimal tolerances and specifications.
After complete spindle motor analysis, you will receive a copy of our findings and recommendations for spindle repair, rebuild or spindle replacement, and upon your approval the process continues.
After optimal tolerances are achieved, all rotating elements are dynamically balanced per ISO1940 standard, or to individual specification. Then your equipment will be reassembled in a temperature-controlled clean room.
Collet or tool holder taper correction will be performed as needed. Then vibration, dynamic run-out analysis, electrical testing and a full speed range performance inspection concludes the process. All documentation will be incorporated into your database files and a printed summary report will be included with your return shipment.
Minimizing Interruption of Your Production
A written repair quotation and failure analysis will be provided to you within 1-3 business days after receipt of your product at our facility. Standard lead time for our services is 5-10 business days after your quotation approval.
Emergency rebuilds can be quoted the same day your product is received at our facility. Emergency rebuilds are serviced 1-3 business days after your quotation approval. Weekday overtime and weekend service can also be provided upon request for an additional fee.
